CHEYENNE CAMPUS, 3200 E. Cheyenne Avenue, is an 80-acre site located in the City of North Las Vegas approximately five miles northeast of downtown Las Vegas and just minutes from Nellis Air Force Base. Opening in 1974, the Cheyenne Campus is the oldest of the three main campuses. The centralized student services area makes easy access to critical support areas.
The newest addition to the campus is the 35,000 square foot Transportation Technology building, which has allowed the college to expand the automotive programs in such areas as diesel technology, alternative fuel technology, and collision repair technology. Cisco Systems has partnered with CSN to help produce one of the largest training and Cisco Certification Academies in the country. The program is housed in our 80,000 square foot Morse Arberry Telecommunications Building.
Several key programs are located at the Cheyenne Campus. The Culinary Arts program is a model for many institutions across the country and has produced gold and silver medal winners in numerous national competitions. ASEP (Automotive Service Education Program) is a specific training program and educational partnership between CSN, the General Motors Corporation along with a local General Motors Dealer, and an Authorized AC Delco Repair Center. CSN is a national training center (NTC) for the National Alternative Fuel Training Consortium (NAFTC). The Cheyenne Campus also houses the Planetarium, which is both a community resource and a resource for local educators through the NASA/Nevada Regional Education Resource Center. The Planetarium is a participant in the NASA/Saturn Observation Campaign. In addition, there is the Nicholas Horn Performing Arts Center at this campus, hosting hundreds of college and community events each year.
