The Leslie and Joan Dunn Advanced Technology Green Valley Center boasts an atmosphere of friendliness, strong business and educational partnerships and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with and in the business, education and local community.
The Center's staff has cultivated strong community relationships to develop strategies and solutions that enable the offering of innovative programs and services for the development of a strong workforce to meet the new economic demands for Southern Nevada. We actively seek input from other community constituents for current and future programming.
As the hub for the Division of Workforce and Economic Development, the Green Valley Center is home to a wide variety of specialized programs as well as the traditional credit and non-credit classes that the College offers. The Center is host to such specialized programs as the National Institute of First Assisters (NIFA) program for registered nurses, various OSHA training classes, the Bail Enforcement Training classes as well as many others.
The Green Valley Campus is also unique in that students are able to complete a 3 credit class in just four weeks. Accounting, Math, English and Music are just a few of the departments that offer classes in the four week format. These classes are usually held Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:50 PM.
Also located on campus is an ACT High Stakes Testing Center where candidates from Nevada, Arizona and California come to take such licensing exams as Automotive Service Excellence for automotive technicians, Registered Dietician or Dietetic Technician for the American Dietetic Association, Nuclear Medicine Technician as well as many others. The ACT Center also offers over 3,000 online training course in a wide variety of areas.
