International Students
The International Center is a comprehensive student-cen-
tered department that assists international students with tran-
sition to the American system of higher education. We pro-
vide students with admissions, orientation, academic and
personal counseling, college success skills education, and
advisement of immigration regulations. Our mission is to
assist international students in achieving their academic
goals by providing accessible services and a supportive staff.
International Student Admissions- “This school is author-
ized under Federal law to enroll F-1 nonimmigrant stu-
dents." U.S. Government regulations are subject to change.
CCSN welcomes students from all countries to apply for
admission through the International Center. International
students are required to maintain 12-credit full time student
status at CCSN. Admitted students are required to take the
Math and English as a Second Language placement tests
and are placed in appropriate Math and ESL classes as well
as Degree classes.
This admission does not constitute admission to Limited
Entry Health Sciences Programs. International students
interested in Health Sciences Programs must meet both the
International and the Limited Entry Health Sciences
Program requirements.
International students who do not have college-level
English skills will be given a conditional letter of accept-
ance if they meet all of the admission requirements except
for the English level and are attending either FLS
International or ELS Language Center. These students will
be referred to the intensive English program on the
Charleston campus and will be admitted to CCSN when
they reach the level at FLS International equal to the 45-
46iBT on TOEFL.
