The Professional Advancement Committee:
- Is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate
- Reviews all applications for column advancement on the academic salary schedule
- Applies the Professional Advancement Program as outlined in the NSHE Board of Regent's Handbook and the Procedures and Guidelines Manual.
The Professional Advancement Program:
- Is the mechanism by which an academic faculty member can advance to a higher level of compensation
- faculty holding a .50 FTE or above who are on the academic faculty salary schedule and are tenure track.
- Advancement can occur following completion of
- an advanced degree program
- graduate level coursework
- occupationally related coursework
- combination
