English Proficiency

All non-native English speakers must provide proof of one of the following:

1. TOEFL test score of 450 PBT, 133 CBT or 45 IBT. CSN does not accept institutional TOEFL scores. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.  Please refer to the TOEFL website for more information.

2. Successful completion of an NSHE administered Michigan Test (70 or above).  This test is offered in Las Vegas at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Please refer to their website for more information.

3. IELTS total band score of 5.  Please refer to the IELTS website for more information.

4. EIKEN (STEP Test) score of Grade 2.  Please refer to the STEP website for more information.

5. SAT score of 510 on the Critical Reading Section.

6. ACT score of 21.

7. Successful completion of English Composition at a US college or university that is equivalent to CSN's English 101 course.

8. Completion of ELS Language Center Level 109.  Please refer to the Las Vegas ELS Language Center website for more information.

9. Graduation from a US high school. U.S. high school graduates are advised to include a copy of thier ACT or SAT score report.
