Eligibility
To be eligible for the TRiO Student Support Services program, students must meet all of the following criteria:
• Be a citizen or permanent resident alien of the United States;
• Currently enrolled at CSN, taking at least 6 credits during the fall and spring semesters.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above and no higher than 3.60.
• Pursue a two-year degree program or be on a transfer track to a four year institution;
• Have need for academic support and the ability to benefit from program services;
And meet one or a combination of the following categories:
• Meet federal low-income guidelines (to be determined upon application as set forth by the Department of Education
• Be a first-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a 4-year institution of higher education); or
• Have a documented physical or learning disability.
*** Meeting First Generation, Low Income, and Disability program eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission into the TRiO Student Support Services program. Prospective participants must also demonstrate the ability to benefit from program services.***
