Eligibility

To be eligible for the TRiO Student Support Services program, students must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be a citizen or permanent resident alien of the United States;

• Currently enrolled at CSN, taking at least 6 credits during the fall and spring semesters, or accepted for enrollment in the next academic semester (and willing to enroll in at least 6 credits);

• Pursue a two-year degree program or be on a transfer track to a four year institution;

• Have need for academic support and the ability to benefit from program services;

And meet one or a combination of the following categories:

• Meet federal low-income guidelines (to be determined upon application as set forth by the Department of Education

• Be a first-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a 4-year institution of higher education); or

• Have a documented physical or learning disability.
