Transferring to UNLV, UNR, and NSC
The receiving school has the final decision regarding credits being transferred.
In general, three things can happen to your credit when you are going to UNLV, UNR, or NSC:
- Credits can transfer directly:
Math 124 taken at CSN will transfer as Math 124 at UNLV, UNR, or NSC.
- Credits can transfer as elective credits:
Soc 205 taken at CSN may transfer as Soc Elec at UNLV, UNR, or NSC.
- Credits are not accepted at UNLV, UNR, or NSC.
If you are unsure of what classes to take, and it happens to many students, visit the counseling department. Counselors and advisors can help in choosing a degree sheet to follow, help map out classes to take each semester, and help clarify questions about transferring.
