Welcome to the Department of International Languages

The department regularly offers studies in fourteen languages: American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, ESL, Filipino, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Because it is the mission of the department to respond to the needs of the community, additional offerings may become available in the future. The Department of International Languages is also the home of an Associate of Arts Degree and a Certificate of Achievement in Latina/o Studies. Associate degrees are also currently available for work in ASL, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. In addition, we have dedicated labs for instruction and practice, from morning into the evening and on Saturdays, at the West Charleston and Cheyenne campuses, as well as a group of computers with specialized software in the library at the Henderson Campus. If you would like to get in touch with us as a prospective student, part-time instructor, tutor or friend, please call our main number at 651-7605.
