Solid State Logic AWS 900 Console (The Recording Mix-board)
"SSL" is one of the premier manufacturers of recording consoles. Besides being widely used in educational institutions such as Full Sail University in Miami, the AWS 900 has proven popular with commercial recording facilities, and with artists from Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to Celine Dion. This console is of the "Analog-Digital Hybrid" variety, using the same quality analog electronics used in SSL’s flagship consoles, and in digital “focus” simultaneously acts as a HUI controller for ProTools. www.solidstatelogic.com

Avid ProTools HD3/Mac Pro Computer Recording System
Apogee 800 and 200 Rosettas, and Digidesign 192 and 96 interfaces are some of the hardware in this configuration, as well as an Apogee "Big Ben" master timing clock to optimize the overall digital recording process. In addition to this hardware system is tons of additional audio processing software, including the Waves Diamond bundle, Sonnox EQ, added Avid software, Native Instruments Komplete and Arturia virtual instruments, noise reduction/audio restoration packages, and more. The Mac Pro currently being used is an 8 core processor with 16 gigabytes of RAM. Presently 2 video monitors are employed (one being a 50-inch high-definition display). Avid ProTools

Monitors
Genelec 5.1 system comprised of five 8250A DSP speakers and two 7260A DSP subwoofers, Yamaha NS-10Ms, Tannoy 15DMTs, JBL 4208s, Event 20/20s, Auratone Cube.

Tape Recording
Whether you are intrigued by the idea of analog recording or need to archive existing tapes, CSN has an Otari MX80 24-track 2” machine, with both remotes. On the digital side, there are 24 tracks of Alesis ADAT, as well as Tascam and Otari DAT decks.

Microphones
CSN’s microphone collection includes Neumann U87s, Royer 121, AKG 414,460, D-112 and C3000s, Sennheiser 421s and 906s, Microtech Gefells, Beyer M 160, Shure Beta 91A, Beta 52A, SM81, 57s and 58s, Audio-Technica 4033. CAD Trion 7000s and 8000s, and more.

Outboard Processors and Preamps
These include the Manley Voxbox, Empirical Labs Fatso Jr., Lexicons, TC Electronics, Yamaha and Presonus.

The Recording Spaces and Musical Equipment
CSN’s studio is asymmetrical with a high ceiling, and large enough for a 50-piece orchestra. There is also an isolation room with windows, and a second room with tielines. A Kawai grand piano, Fender Rhodes electric piano, vintage synthesizers and samplers, drumset, guitar and bass amps, and percussion instruments are available.
