Classified Council
Purpose
The Classified Council serves as an advisory group to the college’s president. The Council meets monthly and:
- Is concerned with matters of classified employee relations, excepting matters of formal appeals and hearings
- Receives, considers and makes recommendations on matters of personnel policies and procedures
- Provides a forum for the hearing of classified employee suggestions, questions or complaints; but not individual appeals relating to disciplinary or classification matters;
- Provides a means of communication for disseminating information to classified employees of the College regarding the personnel program; and:
- Assists the college president on activities and projects requiring input from classified staff.
Who We Represent
Employees represented include those positions authorized by the State of Nevada under contract as CSN classified. Classified employees’ status is verified by the CSN Human Resources Dept.

May 22 (lunch events at each campus - 11 am - 1 pm)
June 26 - site tba
Meetings are traditionally run from 2-4 p.m. but dates and times are subject to change.
