Baseball '08 campaign opens in just 3 weeks

The spring semester might begin on Jan. 22 at the College of Southern Nevada, but also beginning that same week will be the CSN Coyotes' 2008 baseball season.
In just three short weeks from now, the CSN baseball team opens up at home by hosting the 2nd annual Coyote Border Battle at Morse Stadium.
Salt Lake Community College will team up with CSN to represent the Scenic West Athletic Conference in the three-day tournament. They will take on Cochise College and GateWay Community College, who will be representing the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.
The Coyotes open up against Cochise, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. Morse Stadium is located in the rear of the Henderson Campus, just off of I-515 and College Drive in Henderson.
CSN finished 41-18 and ranked No. 16 in the nation on last season's final NJCAA national baseball poll. On that same poll, Cochise was ranked No. 7.
