HENDERSON The College of Southern Nevada softball team made a great run in the 2007 campaign, winning the most games in school history and posting a school-best 31-18 record.

The 2008 CSN softball schedule has been released, and once again, the Coyotes will start off the season with tournament play in Yuma, Ariz. at the Great Western Shootout, hosted by Arizona Western College.  The tournament runs from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 and the Coyotes will play a minimum of six games while there.

All is quiet after that for the Coyotes until they begin conference play on Feb. 22 against Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, Colo.  They'll need the time off to get used to the brutal cold that awaits them in Rangely that time of year!

2007 national runner-up North Idaho College comes to town to face CSN on Mar. 7 and 8.  Both teams face one another in Coeur d'Alene on Apr. 11 and 12.

Salt Lake Community College hosts the Coyotes on Mar. 21 and 22, while CSN has the advantage of playing at home in the final series of the season against SLCC on Apr. 25 and 26.

The regular-season champion will host the Region XVIII Championships on May 1-3, and the NJCAA Women's Junior College World Series will take place May 15-17 in Plant City, Fla.
