College of Southern Nevada softball head coach Ysidro Jimenez announced today that he has added two more games to this year's schedule against one of the best softball teams in Arizona.
Yavapai College of Prescott, Ariz., will travel here to face the CSN Coyotes in a doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday, April 15. The first game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Russell Road Recreation Complex, 5901 E. Russell Road in Henderson just east of I-515.
The Roughriders, who are currently 11-3 on the season, suffered defeat to the Coyotes just nine days ago in the Great Western Shootout in Yuma, Ariz., as CSN held on to defeat Yavapai, 2-1.
This is Yavapai's first season fielding a softball team, and they have one of the best coaches in junior college softball in Stacy Iveson. Iveson previously coached at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz., where she won two NJCAA national championships in 2004 and 2006 while compiling a 346-71 record.
