Aicher becomes CSN softball's first All-American

Amy AicherCollege of Southern Nevada softball player Amy Aicher was selected by the NJCAA this week as a third-team All-American, becoming the first-ever CSN softball player in school history to earn All-American honors.

Aicher, the starting shortstop as a freshman for the Coyotes this season, batted .364 with 30 RBIs, leading the team in both categories.  She also belted two home runs.

NJCAAEarlier this month, Aicher was selected as an All-Region 18 infielder, leading CSN to their second consecutive 30-win season and a third-place finish in the Region 18 Tournament in Salt Lake City.

Aicher is a former star at Snohomish (Wash.) High School.
