Professional Organizations

American Dental Hygienists' Association
"ADHA is the largest professional organization representing the interests of dental hygienists." The ADHA offers current information on careers, education, oral health, and professional issues in addition to a number of related links to other related web resources.

Nevada Dental Hygienists' Association
"The mission of the Nevada Dental Hygienists' Association is to improve the public's total health; to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by ensuring access to quality oral health care, increasing awareness of the cost-effective benefits of prevention, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure practice, and research, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists." The site also provides links to the Northern and Southern components of the NDHA.

International Federation of Dental Hygienists
"Uniting dental hygienists from around the world in their common cause of promoting dental health."

American Dental Association
"The ADA is the professional assocation of dentists committed to the public's oral health, ethics, science, and professional advancement." The ADA provides professional guidance in patient care, research and development, career resources, and tips for consumers on oral health topics.

Nevada Dental Association
The Nevada Dental Association site provides links to both the Northern and Southern Nevada Dental Society web pages in addition to notices on upcoming seminars and meetings, the NDA calendar, classified ads and a search screen to enable users to locate a dentist in their area.

Southern Nevada Dental Society
The Southern component of the Nevada Dental Association, the Society promotes community involvement between dentists, hygienists and state agencies to provide quality dental care in Southern Nevada.

Northern Nevada Dental Society
A component society of the Nevada Dental Association, the Society strives to aid the dental profession in Northern Nevada by providing continuing education, information and participating in community outreach.

American Dental Education Association (ADEA)
The premier site for dental educators. The information on this site will "address contemporary issues influencing education, research, and the delivery of oral health care for the improvement of the health of the public."

American Dental Hygienists' Association/ Licensure
Provides dental hygiene licensure facts and links to the national and regional exam Boards, and state and regional testing agencies and exam dates.

Dental Assisting National Board
"DANB is a nationally recognized premier certification and credentialing agency for dental assistants." This web site provides state specific information on certification or recertification, downloadable forms, and employment center and educator information.

Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners
Provides current information on credentials for Nevada dentists and dental hygienists, information on how to register for or renew a license, downloadable forms, and a schedule of examination dates and board meetings.

American Dental Association/ Licensure

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/ Oral Health Resources
Allows the user to browse by topic, use the resource library, or link directly to current articles and fact sheets.

NIDCR, National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research
A comprehensive site that includes health information, news and reports, clinical trials, and research all dedicated to improving "oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the dissemination of health information."

World Health Organization

National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped
