SearchPath

SearchPath is a web-based tutorial that will teach you how to effectively use library resources for research assignments. The tutorial consists of six integrated modules:

  • Choosing Sources
  • Creating a Search Strategy
  • Using the Library Catalog
  • Finding Articles in Research Databases
  • Using the Web
  • Citing Sources

SearchPath also contains online quizzes, so you can test your knowledge as you work through the modules.

Information Literacy Exam [PDF]

How good are your research and information seeking skills? The above twenty question exam is based on the information literacy competencies outlined in the ACRL Information Competency Standards for Higher Education, and test the information seeking and research skills students are expected to obtain in college level coursework.
