Converting Files for Sharing Between Office 2003 and Office 2007

Office 2007 files may not open with Office 2003 or earlier.

Saving Office 2007 down to Office 97-2003 Document.

You may prefer to save your Office 2007 file down to Office 2003 when posting in Online Campus or emailing. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose File Office 2007 File Icon (the Office icon in the upper left corner, next to the Save icon)
  2. Choose Save As
  3. In the Save As dialog box, select Office 97-2003 Document in the Save as Type drop menu

To save or export a file in Office 2007 as a PDF, you need Adobe Acrobat Professional and the following plug-in from Microsoft:
