Radiation Protection Program
Where there is potential for occupational or educational exposure to radiation, it is the policy of CSN to follow recommendations and guidelines, to the extent feasible, to reduce radiation exposure to employees, students, and members of the public. Individuals with potential occupational or educational exposure includes employees and students in the following educational programs; Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Dental Faculty Practice, Veterinary Technology, and Radiation Therapy.
The Radiation Protection Program addresses areas such as exposure limits; safety training; hazard communication; monitoring of exposure; minimum exposure techniques; exposure records; and equipment registration, inspection and maintenance.
Management of the Program rests with the Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
