Vice President: Jasmine L. Dong

I am an English literature graduate of 2006 from the University of Las Vegas Nevada, hoping to get accepted into the William S. Boyd School of Law for August of 2008. I am currently enrolled in a Community College of Southern Nevada internship with the District Attorneys Juvenile Division and I will be attending a Kaplan prep course this summer for the law school admissions test on June 11th, 2007. I usually participate in the martial art of kick boxing and I partake in UNLV’s Woman Chorus for “Take Back the Night” when I have the time. The program is an acknowledgment and a sign of support for abused and battered women. I aspire to be involved and contribute to numerous community projects and charities. I believe I will be able to accomplish my specific goal through Phi Theta Kappa.

I became part of the leadership team in June of 2007. Phi Theta Kappa has offered me lots of opportunities, as scholarships, seminars, honor trips and one the most important things that Phi Theta Kappa has offered me, is the possibility to help my community. As a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society I have achieve one of my biggest dreams, to blend school and social work.

Historian: Pamela Gamboa

I am originally from Lima, Peru. I was born on August 20th, 1985. At the age of four, I went to an Italian school. Therefore I speak three languages: Spanish, Italian, and English.  I used to work in the travel & tourism industry as a travel agent booking reservations, checking in passengers, dispatching flights. I even concluded my flight attendant training but never flew on duty because at that point I realized that I’d like a better job on the ground.  Once I decided to get involved in the hospitality industry, I moved to Las Vegas to pursuit my degree in Hotel Management. As soon as I get my associate’s degree at CSN (spring ’08) I’ll be moving on to UNLV.  Even though I prefer to spend my days on ground, I love to fly from one point to another. I aim to work in Sydney and Macau and to be very successful in the hospitality industry.
