Alpha Xi Beta Chapter Board Members

 

Dustin Rains

President: Shara Hinden

Shara has been a long standing leader in the Alpha Xi Beta Chapter.  She was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa in 2007, and since has served as Historian and Public Relations Officer and President.  She is concurrently serving as a Regional officer of the NV/CA Region, as the Vice President of the Nevada District.

 

She looks forward to continuing the growth and success of the chapter, and is excited to plan the Regional Conference, which will take place right here in Las Vegas next spring!

 

Rikki Robinson-Ogawa

Vice President: Andrie Gail San Diego

She was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa in 2010. Since her induction, she has been active in community events to broaden the awareness of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. One of her goals while serving as Vice President is to enlighten the business community of Alpha Xi Beta Chapter’s presence, while serving the needs of Southern Nevada citizens and help them harness the energy to excel within themselves.

 

Gail’s academic goals are to continue her studies in pre-medicine, and obtain her Doctorate.

Public Relations Officer: Christopher Marshall

As the incoming Phi Theta Kappa Public Relations Officer, Chris has high hopes to bolster the organization during his tenure.  He plans to implement additional accolades for greater member involvement to strengthen students resumes.  Chris' personal goals as a PTK officer are to bring a greater recognition to the organization and their involvement in the community, strengthen the organization through increased memberships, as well as encourage member participation toward civic responsibility.

Chris Marshall has been in Las Vegas for the past 22 years, hailing from Los Angeles, California.  He is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and Co-Founder of The A/C Guys, a successful Las Vegas based service and repair Air Conditioning company.

 

Shar Berroyer

Secretary: Karen Camelo

Karen Camelo graduated from Southeast Career Technical Academy and was awarded as student of the year in 2009. She achieved her nursing assistant licensing while attending high school and is currently pursuing her degree in Biology at CSN. As the oldest of three siblings she plans to attend a four year Institution to complete her degree and be the first of her family to graduate from a college in America. Karen enjoys helping the community and has held leadership positions as secretary and president in clubs she participated in high school. She looks forward to bringing her skills and passion to Phi Theta Kappa as well as fresh ideas move the community toward a brighter future. 

 

Susana Buller

Historian: Saturn Reyes

Saturn Reyes is a Sophmore here at CSN Charleston with a passion for Business Management which is currently her major. She enjoys learning new things, sharing ideas, and helping others succeed. She is also the current President of Students Making A Difference Club (SMAD) which is a Community Service learning club at the WCH campus,and now, Cheyenne as well! Saturn is always ready to take on a challenge and have fun in the process. Her main goal in life is to become the ultimate business guru! So C'mmon PTK, lets start this semester off right and get down to business! :)

My name is Noemi Filoteo. I am a non-traditional student at CSN. I have returned later in my life to finish my education with a degree in Art with an Emphasis on Secondary Education.
