Frank Martin founded Martin-Harris Construction (MHC) in December 1976 and was licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board in February 1977.  MHC has since been granted general contracting licenses in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Utah.  The main office is located in Las Vegas, NV and a branch office is located in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Martin-Harris Construction has evolved within the region’s construction industry both in size and stature.  MHC is consistently listed as a leading contractor in the following categories: “Top 10 Nevada General Contractors” & “Top 10 Southwest General Contractor” by Southwest Contractor Magazine; “Top 400 General Contractors” by Engineering News-Record  and “Top General Contractor” by In Business Las Vegas.

Martin-Harris Construction has been honored with the #1 “Family Owned Business 2001” award by Nevada Business Journal and The Association of General Contractor’s “Employer of the Year 2003” award.  The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) named MHC “Contractor of the Year” in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007. 

Martin’s industry and community recognitions include: Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Inland Empire Region (construction and real estate division); Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award in Business; the “Lieder Award” from the Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies; the “Pioneer Award” from the Association of General Contractors and the “Lloyd D. George Family Values Award” by The Las Vegas International Scouting Museum. 

Martin serves on the board of directors for US Bank, Opportunity Village, Life Time Board Members of AGC, UNLV Foundation, CCSN Foundation Board, IWPAC (water planning advisory committee and the finance subcommittee) and PCCHA (Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association) and was recently appointed by Governor Gibbons to serve on the Nevada Transportation Board.
