Continued funding under the Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship program is the subject of discussions by the Nevada State Legislature.  CSN strongly suggest that all Millennium Scholars pay the amount of their tuition and fees* that the Millennium Scholarship does not cover to prevent being purged from their classes.

 

To calculate the amount owed, Millennium Scholars need to multiply the number of credits they are enrolled in – excluding credits for remedial classes (course number below 100) – up to a maximum enrollment in 12 credits by $40.00 per credit, and subtract the total of that calculation from their tuition and fees balance.  The remainder is the amount that needs to be paid to the CSN Cashier’s Office by Aug 5th, 2010.

 

This partial payment can only be made in person; Millennium Scholars must identify themselves as such to Cashier personnel by presenting a copy of their Millennium eligibility from online registration (click on Millennium Scholarship and print page).

 

Depending on the decision of the Nevada State Legislature, Millennium Scholars must be prepared to pay the balance of their tuition and fees.
