
Recycling and the Environment
The Ad Hoc Committee on Recycling and the Environment was formed December 2007.
The purpose of the committee is to:
- Advocate for and encourage an effective and responsible recycling program
- Research existing college and university recycling programs for applicable program components
- Investigate resource (financial and personnel) needs for implementing a recycling program at CSN
- Identify recyclable materials on CSN campuses and learning centers
- Locate local vendors offering recycling and collection services
- Create strategies to promote acceptance and participation by all members of the college community
- Research grant money sources for start up support
- Report findings and make recommendations to the President
Mission of the recycling program:
Reduce waste, promote the recycling of materials, and maintain and promote clean and environmentally conscious campuses.
