Welcome to the Office of Diversity & Cultural Affairs!

Established through campus and community based advocacy the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Cultural Affairs is responsible for the oversight of campus wide diversity efforts for students, faculty, and staff at all levels of education and employment. These efforts extend off campus into the greater Las Vegas area for the broad array of community based college stakeholders.

Diversity at CSN a conceptualized as a community responsibility therefore our diversity efforts are deliberately extensive. They include, but are not limited to, examination of race, color, ethnicity, geographic origin, immigration status, language, social economic class, employment status sex, gender, gender identity, expression, family configurations, sexual orientation, physical developmental and psychological ability, age and generations, religion, spiritual faith, secular beliefs, physical appearance, environmental concerns, political affiliation, by the exercise of rights secured by the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States.

Accordingly, the Office of the Vice President of the Office of Diversity and Cultural Affairs works to ensure that education employment equity exists for all its constituents through the provision of a dynamic range of outstanding access, support, and development research and entrepreneurial initiatives. We not only equip phone numbers of the campus community to specialize our students to compete in a society the way it is currently set up but to change the world for the better for all. To this end, in particular the work of the Office of Vice President for Diversity and Cultural Affairs is dedicated.

The office is committed to providing the leadership to support the Diversity and Cultural Affairs efforts of all CSN division, departments and office. The office promotes awareness and diversity in all aspects of campus life. Diversity and Cultural Affairs is a major factor guiding and influencing all institutional and individual decisions that promote the betterment of our community.

The Vice President along with community, business, and education and activist leaders will create advisory boards to the President from underrepresented groups to address a myriad of issues that relate to students, parents, faculty and administration for the betterment of the institution.
