Nevada Regents' Scholar Award

Eligibility: 1.Minimum nine (9) credits in fall semester, 2009. 2. Minimum thirty (30) credits at community college level. 3. Engaged in Leadership and Service Activities while a student within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).	Application: 1. Nomination letter from an academic or an administrative faculty member which demonstrates the nominee's academic and leadership abilities. 2. Completed application form - NSHE Nomination Form 3. 1/2 page bio of the nominee 4. Essay: Give evidence of your academic, leadership, and service accomplishments while an NSHE student. In addition, give the Academic Scholarship Committee any information which you believe would give the committee a more clear recognition of your accopmplishments. In other words, what makes you stand out as an exemplary student at CSN.
Award based upon: 1. leadership ability as an NSHE student 2. service contributions while an NSHE student 3. academic accomplishments 4. potential for continued success	CSN deadline: 5:00 p.m., November 6th, 2009 Nominees may be scheduled for Interviews on 20th November, 2009
