Message from the CIO

As the Chief Information Officer at CSN, I would like to welcome you to the Office of Technology Services website.  The Office of Technology Services, or OTS, is a diverse team of talented individuals, leading with technology as a critical partner with all of the arms of the college community.  OTS continuously delivers innovative solutions in the areas of infrastructure, enterprise applications, academic technology, and desktop and classroom support.

We have entered a time in history where IT is not simply a part of the business, but is integrated into every part of the business.  Whether it’s delivering a class online, showing examples in class with a document camera, connecting with a study group via social media, or using a hosted web application to route part time contracts, technology permeates every aspect of how we work, how we teach, and how we learn.

In its mission to provide the best solutions behind these needs, OTS is committed to providing excellent service and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.  It is core to how OTS approaches it job. Towards this objective, OTS utilizes the best practices service management model known as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) which provides a framework for planning, prioritizing, delivering, and supporting IT services.  Through this widely utilized model, OTS is able to align the needs of the college’s business with its delivery of information technology services.

And, while we are a highly competent, well trained team, we are continually seeking out ways that we can improve ourselves, the team, and the services we deliver, never satisfied with where we are now.  Technology is always moving forward, you are always moving forward, so we too must continue to move forward in order to supply you the tools that you need to be the best faculty, staff, and students, bar none.
