Classified Staff
Professional Staff
Classified employees are considered non-exempt (eligible for overtime) pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Although classified employees work at one or more of the various campuses and sites managed and operated by CSN, all rules and regulations for employment-related actions are defined and codified in the State of Nevada Rules for Personnel Administration, Chapters 281 and 284 of the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC). CSN Human Resources has delegated authority from the Nevada Department of Personnel to administer employment-related actions on behalf of the State of Nevada. Professional and faculty employees are governed by policies established and adopted by the Board of Regents and are considered employees of the Nevada System of Higher Education. Employment-related policies are defined and codified in the Board of Regents Handbook.
