Configuring Voicemail Preview Settings for CSN Voicemail

Microsoft Unified Messaging has a feature that allows you to see a preview of your voicemail.  The voicemail is converted to text and is shown as a preview in the e-mail you receive along with the voicemail itself (shown in the screenshot below).  If you do not like this feature, you may turn it off by following the directions below.

To turn off the “Voicemail Preview” feature:

Login to Microsoft Outlook Web Access at https://webmail.csn.edu from an internet browser.

Click on the “Options” link at the top right corner of the Outlook Web App window.

Select “See All Options…” from the drop down menu.

In the left side of the window, in the left pane, select “Phone”.

In the right pane, scroll all the way down until you see the “Voice Mail Preview” settings.  Uncheck the “Include preview text with voice messages I receive” box.

Click the “Save” button in the lower right corner of the Outlook Web App window.
