Future Students

Step 2. Submit In-State Residency Form

Students who have not lived in Nevada for 12 consecutive calendar months from the point of admissions into the College must complete an in-state residency form.

To apply for the fall 2013 semester, students must turn in the completed residency application with supporting documentation no later than August 1, 2013. Completed and partially completed applications that do not meet the January 3, 2014 deadline will not be considered for residency until spring 2014.

Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for processing. Complete details regarding in-state residency can be found in the Nevada State Higher Education Board of Regents Handbook, Title 4, Chapter 15 Sections 1 through 4.

CSN recognizes a Nevada Resident as a person who:

  • Has established residence in the State of Nevada for at least 12 months immediately prior to the date the student begins classes at CSN.
  • Is a member of the Armed Forces of the United States who has previously established residence in the State of Nevada, but who has been transferred outside of Nevada while continuing to maintain a bona fide residence in Nevada.
