Testing

Math Placement Test

All new students are required to take a Math placement test to determine their math level. Students will receive their scheduled Math placement time during DAY ONE of orientation. Students who have math transfer credits from another institution do not have to take this test.

English Placement Test

Non-native English speaking students are required to take the English as a Second Language placement test to determine the level of ESL/English to take the first semester. Native English speaking international students must take the English placement test. Students will not be able to register for any ESL/English classes the first semester if they fail to take the placement test, which may cause delays in academic progress. Your TOEFL score is an admissions requirement and does not eliminate you from taking the English placement test. Students who have taken the test, or have a transcript showing a C or better in English 101 (or equivalent) do not have to take this test.
