NEW OSHA Training Institute Education Center
The Division of Workforce and Economic Development is pleased to announce that after a nationwide competition the College of Southern Nevada has been selected as a new OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Education Center for Region IX. After this competition there are 5 OTI Education Centers in Region IX.
This region is comprised of California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa. Our center is the only permanent center in Nevada.
By becoming an OTI Education Center we are now authorized to offer comprehensive, certified, OSHA training to the local community, statewide and across the region. These courses will be offered through the Department of Occupational Health and Safety Programs. These courses are divided into 4 key segments - General Industry, Construction, Disaster Site and Maritime. There are many course topics including Train the Trainer, Disaster Site Worker and Confined Space. Take a moment to look through
