The Radiation Therapy Program houses our Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology. Students pursuing this degree will be trained to work with radiation oncologists and deliver daily doses of ionizing radiation. Radiation therapists are trained to provide appropriate patient care and apply problem solving techniques and critical thinking skills in the administration of treatment protocols, tumor localization and dosimetry. Students will also participate in supervised clinicals in cancer centers.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Exam for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

NOTE: The ARRT credential in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine is not required for admission into our program.

Radiation therapists can pursue careers in hospitals, physician offices and outpatient care facilities.

Limited Entry Program

NOTE: The Radiation Therapy Program is a limited entry program.  Students must attend a health programs orientation and meet with a health programs advisor for additional counseling prior to application.
