The son of Matt and Kathi Herbert, Justin began playing baseball at the age of 5. He feels the greatest thrill in sports to date is winning a championship. A three year varsity athlete in high school, Justin helped lead the Colts to the Utah 5A State Baseball Championship in 2005. He hit .350 and .400 his junior and senior seasons, respectively.
