The son of Gary and Carrie Heyer, Craig began playing baseball at the age of 4. Craig was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in both 2004 and 2005. Craig has signed a letter-of-intent to play baseball at UNLV. In his spare time, Craig enjoys playing games on his X-Box. He feels the greatest thrill in sports to date is when a pitcher tosses a perfect game. A four year varsity athlete in high school, Craig compiled a 7-5 record with a 1.13 ERA his senior season, striking out 98 batters in 67 innings.
