Bryce began playing baseball at the age of 4. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2004. Bryce has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the University of Georgia. Bryce was second on the team in batting average his freshman season, hitting .360 with 43 RBIs, which also ranked second on the team. He was also named to the All-Region 18 first team as a freshman. A four year varsity athlete in high school, Bryce holds the Nevada high school state record for most career hits (215) and was named to the all-state first team his final three seasons.
