The son of Larry and Erin Moldt, Ryan began playing baseball at the age of 3. He feels the greatest thrill in sports to date was when the Boston Red Sox won the 2004 World Series after their historic comeback in the ALCS. During his spare time, Ryan enjoys surfing and snowboarding. A four year varsity athlete in high school, Ryan helped the Crusaders claim back-to-back 2A and 3A state championships in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He batted .515 and .585 his final two seasons.
