Brandon began playing baseball at the age of 6. Brandon was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2005. He feels the greatest thrill in sports to date was when the Boston Red Sox swept the New York Yankees in the 2004 ALCS to advance to the World Series after being down 3-0 in the series. A four year varsity athlete in high school, Brandon batted .485 and .425 in his final two seasons while helping the Spartans win the 4A Sunset Regional championship and finish as state runner-ups in 2004.
