What is Tech Prep?
Tech Prep is a CSN program which places high school students on the pathway to earning an Associates Degree or Certificate program from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) by allowing them to earn college credit for select high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes. These high school elective courses are a part of a Program of Study (POS) and are taught at the high school by high school teachers.
Tech Prep is a partnership between CSN and participating high schools in Clark, Lincoln and Nye County School Districts allowing students to simultaneously earn high school and college credits that have been approved through a formal articulation agreement.

How Can I Get College Credit Now?

Enroll in an eligible Tech Prep class at your high school. For a complete list go to the Tech Prep Information for Students & Parents page.

Complete a Request for Tech Prep Credit form in the spring semester and submit it
to your Tech Prep teacher by the deadline.

Earn a grade of “B” or better both semesters.
Tech Prep is funded by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education
Improvement Act of 2006 (Perkins IV) in cooperation with the College of
Southern Nevada and the Nevada State Department of Education.
