Study References for Placement into Math 93 - Pre-Algebra

 

In order to place into Math 93, you MUST know the following Math 91- Basic College Mathematics concepts.

a.   Perform operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and apply them to problems involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Go to http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/beg_algebra/ and study the concepts in Tutorials #2 and 3.

b.   Perform computations using order of operations.

c.   Solve problems involving ratio, proportion, and percent.

d.   Compute perimeters, areas, and volumes of basic geometric shapes.

e.   Solve problems using the Pythagorean Theorem
