Institutional Accreditation & Accreditation Reports
For copies of CSN Accreditation Reports, please contact the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) has been continuously accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) since 1975. NWCCU recognizes higher education institutions for performance, integrity, and quality and expects accredited institutions to comply with the requirements of the Higher Education Act of 1965. This accreditation qualifies CSN and enrolled students to access federal funds to support teaching, research, and student financial aid. CSN is authorized by NWCCU to award the Associate and Bachelor degrees.
In Fall 2018, CSN underwent a Mid-Cycle Evaluation and will provide an Addendum to the Fall 2018 Mid-Cycle Evaluation Report to address Recommendations 1, 2, and 3 of the Fall 2015 Year Seven peer Evaluation Report. In Fall 2022, CSN will undergo a Year Seven Evaluation, and in Spring 2024, CSN will complete a Mission and Core Themes Report.
Several CSN academic disciplines are accredited through their professional and specialized organizations. Click here for more information.
CSN's Men's Baseball and Women's Softball programs are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
