The Department of Auxiliary Services generates and manages business through an array of non-academic services that CSN students, faculty and staff need and value.  Auxiliary Services includes printing services, graphic design, copier and printer programs, motor pool services, wireless communication devices, and shuttle services.
 

Auxiliary Services also manages contracted services including bookstore operations, food and catering services, and vending services.  We take pride in our commitment to responsive, high-quality and dependable service to the CSN community.

Campus Motor Pool Services

Campus Motor Pool Services provides all preventative maintenance services for the 50-vehicle fleet operated by assigned CSN departments. We process insurance requests and claims, work closely with Risk Management and Business Center South. In addition, we process and provide commodity approval for all new departmental vehicles.

Motor Pool will utilize drop off/pick up to minimize in-person interaction, utilizing the Motor Pool drop box (NLVN145), and utilizing PPE for in-person interaction.

Campus Printing Services

Campus Printing Services assists the CSN community with its design and printing needs, including complementary graphic design and campus delivery. We supply classroom materials, tests, syllabi, stationery, and display items at competitive pricing that is exclusive to the CSN community.

Printing Services is open and providing Curbside Service for all pick up, and will utilize PPE for all in-person interactions. The Printing Services front counter window is currently closed.

Campus Shuttle Services

A campus shuttle service in partnership is in development with Nevada State College. This service, called Campus Commuter, will stop at the three main CSN campuses, Nevada State College, and the Clark Country East Side Library.

The Campus Commuter will not be operational during the Fall 2020 semester. It is our hope the pilot program will resume service when it can be both safe and successful in its operations. Given the rapidly evolving pandemic in Nevada and throughout the country, we cannot commit to a specific timeframe on when the pilot program will resume. Campus Wireless Services

Campus Wireless Services provide a fleet of over 250 mobile devices to CSN support staff and faculty to conduct college business during college hours of operation. We maintain the health of the device and resolve all set up, upgrades and malfunctions.

Wireless Services will utilize a contact-less, remote service to minimize in-person interaction. Devices can be delivered contact-less, and in an anti-static bag. We will utilize Microsoft Teams for set up meetings, but if an in-person visit is necessary staff will wear PPE to provide service. We recommend cleaning wireless devices with a disinfectant solution specially formulated for electronic devices.

Campus Bookstore Services

CSN is proud to partner with Follett Higher Education to provide excellent service and competitive rates for students. The University Bookstore plays a direct role in supporting CSN’s strategic objectives; enhancing recruitment, retention, and academic success. Our team is committed to engaging students on campus, building relationships and earning your loyalty. By serving as a campus hub, the Bookstore enhances the academic experience of everyone on campus.

The Bookstore is currently fulfilling orders through online sales and shipping. Rush store hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday through September 4. Limited store hours begin on September 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday. The Bookstore team will utilize PPE for all in-person interactions. Campus Printer/Copier Services

Campus Printer/Copier Services manages all printer and copier usage for over 750 printers and 97 multi-functional copier machines. We serve as the point of contact for all questions or issues arising from the desktop and copier contracts as well as for the toner recycling process in place. We are pleased to partner with the Les Olson Company to provide these services to the CSN community. We also work closely with OTS in an effort to provide the best service for any printer or copier issues.

In an ongoing effort to minimize risk from Covid-19, CDC recommendations include that public surfaces be cleaned on a regular basis. This includes desktop printers and multifunctional copiers. We can assist you with taking the best care of your work space and to maintain health and safety guidelines. Please review and download the cleaning guidelines for desktop printers and multi-functional copiers below. We can also help you with placing a work order for your device, with troubleshooting, and to answer any questions or concerns about your device. The Les Olson Company will clean your device when completing a service visit. Both of our teams will utilize PPE for in-person interaction.

Campus Food Services

CSN is proud to partner with CulinArt Group, Inc. to provide a food service to the CSN campus.

Food Service will be open for the Fall 2020 semester on Monday, 8/24. Operating hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are pleased to offer mobile ordering with Boost. The Student Union coffee bars will offer a pre-packaged, grab and go menu, including:

  • hot and iced beverages
  • bakery items and breakfast sandwiches
  • sandwiches and salads
  • personal pizza, grilled cheese and grilled ham & cheese sandwiches, tater tots, and cheese quesadilla

Catering opens 8/24 and offers a 100% pre-packaged Catering program with a limited menu. For your health and safety, we have removed all self-serve and buffet style options. Learn more about Food Services at https://at.csn.edu/dining

Campus Vending Services

CSN is proud to partner with Pepsi and First Class Vending to provide all beverage and snack options on campus. We also provide these options to our CSN Learning Centers. We work closely with our vending partners to review machine placement, food and beverage options, and managing customer service. Customers seeking vending refunds may do so at the Cashier's office at each main campus.

All vending machines at building entryways and first floor will be in service. Signage will be affixed to each machine with instructions for washing hands, reporting service, and directing to open/operating machines. Our vendors will monitor usage on a weekly basis to prevent spoiled product. Snack vending machines will offer PPE (masks and gloves). Where available, we encourage you to use the Pay Range app to minimize touching the machines.
