We are pleased to announce a new campus shuttle service in partnership with Nevada State College. This service, called Campus Commuter, will stop at the three main CSN campuses, Nevada State College and the Clark County East Side Library. To better use this service students are encouraged to download the DoubleMap app, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, to use Campus Commuter.

Download the DoubleMap App:

    1.    Type an app name or keyword into the search box at the top of the screen.
    2.    Tap the Search key.
    3.    Select DoubleMap from the search results.
    4.    Tap INSTALL.
    5.    Tap OPEN.

What if I don't have a smart phone or cannot access the app?
 
You can click to track the shuttle using your web browser.
Once you have downloaded the app, follow these steps to connect with the Campus Commuter route:

    1.    Go: to Select System.
    2.    Select: NSC-CSN Campus Commuter.
    3.    Map: This map is a live view of exactly where all of the buses are in real time. As the buses drive along the routes, their positions are updated on the map.
    4.    Announcements: Click to see timely messages that are broadcasted by the system.
    5.    Select Route: Click on a route name in the routes box to display and filter stops and routes on the map.
    6.    Bus Number & Route: From the map, click on the bus icon to see the bus number and the route. The bus icon's color matches the color of the route, and the letter inside the icon corresponds to the route name.
    7.    Stop Name & Route: From the map, click on a bus stop to view the stop name and the route. The color of the stop corresponds with the route color.
    8.    Zoom: click on the + or - buttons on the left side of the map to zoom in or out. The scroll wheel on a mouse zooms in and out as well.

About Campus Commuter


•    This is a fixed route program with two routes.
•    There is one 24-passenger shuttle dedicated to the Blue Line (between CSN Charleston & CSN North Las Vegas),
      and two 24-passenger shuttles assigned to the Black Line (between Nevada State College & CSN North Las Vegas).
•    The Shuttle Program will operate Monday through Friday:

  •  Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM – 10:00PM
  •  Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM  
  •  Please note that there is no weekend service, nor is there service on NSHE observed holidays.
  •  Campus Commuter will not operate during the summer.

•    Students need to show their CSN ID to ride the shuttle.  Please obtain your CSN ID at Student Government,
      located in each campus Student Union (https://www.csn.edu/student-government).
•    The shuttle stops (for pick up and drop off) are:

  •  CSN Henderson Campus: the drive loop on the west side of C Building
  •  CSN North Las Vegas Campus: the RTC stop west of the Student Union
  •  CSN Charleston Campus: the RTC Paratransit stop east of I & K Buildings
  •  East Las Vegas Library: the RTC stop
  •  Nevada State College: the drive loop in front of the Student Union

  •  Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM

FAQ

How long will the Campus Commuter last?  
The Campus Commuter program is currently planned as a one-year pilot.  If there is sufficient demand for the shuttle, we will develop a longer plan to support ridership.

Can anyone ride the Campus Commuter?  
No, the Campus Commuter is available for students only.  Students must present a CSN ID and pay to ride. Service will be free through the end of February on a first come, first served basis while we finalize the mobile app and fine tune operations. Faculty and staff participation will be re-evaluated after the program is launched.  

How do I report an emergency?
Please call Emergency Services immediately by dialing 911.

How do I report a non-emergency?
Please call non-emergency services at 702-895-3668.

How will I know when my shuttle has arrived?  
If you are waiting at your pick-up location, you will see the shuttle arrive. Our shuttles will have CSN decals and our drivers wear uniforms.

Is there complimentary Wi-Fi available on the shuttle?
Yes, we are pleased to provide complimentary WI-FI on Campus Commuter. Please be advised that this Wi-Fi it is not optimized for movie streaming or gaming.
