Chief Human Resource Officer Candidate Forum Schedule
CSN is pleased to announce that our national search for the new Sr. Associate Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer is approaching the end stages. In order to ensure a fair and transparent process, we engaged Gold Hill Associates to assist with this recruitment and with their assistance, we were able to narrow the pool down to 3 qualified candidates. We would like to invite the College community to attend a Campus Forum for each finalist. The Campus Forums are a great opportunity to interact with the finalists, learn about their background and to pose inquires related to their background, experience and how they would foster a transparent, collaborative, students first environment.
Forums will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., October 28, October 29 and November 1 on the Charleston Campus in the Student Union, Room 126. On the Charleston Campus, overflow space will be available in Building E, Room 322. The forums will be broadcast to Building C, Room 2638 on the North Las Vegas Campus, and to Building C, Room 224 on the Henderson Campus.
The Sr. Associate Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer organizational structure is designed to lead all human capital initiatives and strategies that will support high levels of employee engagement, promote customer service excellence, and attract and retain high performing employees. The Sr. Associate Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer will oversee all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, and wellness, employee relations, employee development and retention, and performance management. In addition, this position also has administrative responsibility and oversight for the Office of Institutional Equity that handles matters pertaining to EEO/AA, ADA/ADAAA, and Title IX matters and will act as the College’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Additionally, the Sr. Associate Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer will collaborate on initiatives with the College’s senior leadership and will be a member of the leadership council as designated by the President of the College, Dr. Federico Zaragoza.
You will be provided the opportunity to administer confidential and anonymous feedback on any/all of the finalists. All are encouraged to contribute their feedback. This information will be compiled by Human Resources personnel and shared with Dr. Zaragoza, Mary Kaye Bailey, and Dr. Arnold Bell as this input will aid in their decision-making process.
