“The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, quality education, environmental degradation, peace and justice.”

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a plan of action adopted by the Heads of State and Government and High Representatives at the United Nations Headquarters in 2015. It is composed by 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets. In this presentation we will share the genesis, implications, scope, and challenges that this ambitious and aspirational Agenda sets for the World. In particular two main issues will be discussed: the data driven approach of the Agenda and its implementation at the subnational level.
