Also known as the Caesar J. Caviglia Academic Computing Building, this 89,530 square-foot, tilt-up structure was designed to be the focal point of entry to the Henderson Campus. The skylight above the four-story entrance lobby resembles the CSN logo and is visible from US 95. The facility is named after Rev. Caesar Caviglia, who was fundamental in convincing the Nevada Legislature to approve funding the 80-acre Henderson campus in the early 1970s.
The main building is intersected by a three-story elliptical atrium with a computer lab and study area on the first floor. It is the location of Facilities Management, Southern Desert Regional Police Academy, Department of Science and the Department of Accounting, Finance and Computer Office Technology. Many student services are also included in this facility including the Writing Center and labs for accounting, communication, computing and science. A campus café and lounge areas are available for student convenience and our 220-seat lecture hall houses cultural events including concerts, plays, theatre readings, faculty lectures and educational forums.
