Communications & Public Affairs

Our office is responsible for public affairs, media relations and both internal and external communications.

We serve as the official spokesperson for the college and we provide consultative services to help academic and administrative departments meet their specific communication needs. Some of our services include:

  • Official College Communications

  • College Publication Consultation & Review
  • Approval of College Speakers
  • Public Records Requests

Our division also maintains relationships with public officials, businesses and media outlets throughout southern Nevada.

Nevada Public Records Act Requests

The Office of Communications at the College of Southern Nevada is responsible for responding to requests made under the Nevada Public Records Act (N.R.S. 239 et seq).

Requests may be made verbally by calling our office at 702-651-7715; however, it is helpful to receive a request in writing. Please email your request to the office or fax it to 702-651-5622. Responses will be provided as soon as reasonably available and CSN will notify the requester of when items will be available within five business days of receiving the request.

Social Media Assistance

Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are some of the busiest social media sites on the web and CSN has a presence on each site. We can provide insight on how to use these sites and can help you set up a page or group. Features include posting comments, sending bulletins, viewing and answering student questions, posting links to your CSN page, creating groups and more! We have a large number of “fans” on each site that we can reach with the touch of a button. By linking from the CSN sites, these ”fans" of CSN are able to view your information while checking the main pages for updated content and events.
