Paralegal Program

The Paralegal Studies Program is designed to prepare students to serve as legal professionals in private law practice, corporate practice and public practice. General legal coursework is combined with thorough preparation in legal procedures, research and writing to provide high quality legal services under the direction of an attorney. The program also provides opportunity for those already employed in law-related occupations to improve and supplement their existing skills.

Paralegals have a number of responsibilities from office management and legal drafting to research, background checks and client interviews. They can also provide critical services to legal entities within police departments, private businesses and a variety of governmental and non-profit agencies.
