Strategic Initiatives & Administrative Services

Welcome to the Division of Strategic Initiatives & Administrative Services!

Our division is comprised of several areas of responsibility that include: Facilities Management, Human Resources, Institutional Research, Police Department & Public Safety, Sponsored Projects, Strategic Planning, Technology Services, and the Emergency Management and Preparedness Program.

  • Facilities Management covers the areas of site planning, construction, maintenance and building operations, grounds, custodial, architectural services, and environmental health and safety.
  • Human Resources is charged with conducting recruitment activities, employee relations, benefits administration, and professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Institutional Research assists and supports accreditation, institutional research, accountability and strategic planning by providing accurate, relevant and timely information for use by the College.
  • Police Department officers and security staff are committed to maintaining safe and secure campuses and protecting our college's resources.
  • Sponsored Projects supports the College by securing external funds to further CSN's mission, strategic directions and institutional priorities through grants awarded by public and private agencies.
  • Strategic Planning encompasses the overall institutional strategic plan, inclusively created and collaboratively managed by representatives from throughout the College and community businesses and resources.
  • Technology Services provides leadership for the continued development of a progressive information technology environment throughout the College by ensuring that technology in its many forms fully serves our teaching, and service missions using a model of partnership and collaboration.
  • Emergency Management & Preparedness Program provided an update in Fall 2016 to the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) to ensure that the college is ready and able to respond should an emergency occur.  This is a living document and the most recent edition will always be published online. The Emergency Management & Preparedness Guide, published Fall 2011, is designed to prepare you to protect yourself and others should an emergency/hazardous situation ariseClick on the appropriate links (above) to access these important tools.
  • The Employment and Training Administration Department provides guidance of “Reporting Instances of Suspected Fraud, Program Abuse and Criminal Conduct”.

We look forward to working with our faculty, staff and students to make this year the best one yet for CSN!
