Whether you’re a current high school student or a future apprentice, an international student or a veteran, pursuing a degree or just wanting to learn something new, your application is important to us. Please choose your educational goal below to get started.

 

I want to take credit classes to pursue a degree or certificate and I may transfer to a four-year institution.

  • As of 2017, all high school graduates must complete the required FIRST STEPS prior to registering for courses:
    • Participate in orientation
    • Complete the math, reading and English placement exams or submit official advanced placement or ACT and/or SAT Scores
    • Meet with an academic advisor
  • Transfer students are encouraged to submit ALL transcripts of courses completed after high school for evaluation. All transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope from the institution. Transcripts that are faxed or opened by the student will be considered unofficial. Official transcripts should be mailed to:

This non-degree seeking status is designed for students who wish to take courses but do not plan to pursue a degree. Please note that:

  • Non-degree seeking students are not eligible to receive financial aid. To be considered for financial aid, please complete the degree-seeking application.
  • Non-degree seeking students may become degree seeking at any time after admission through their student account.

Read through this important information before starting the application.

  • New students wishing to enroll in CSN and use any listed VA Education programs should complete this application.

I want to enroll in a CSN program to earn college credit while in high school.

High school seniors applying for admission should choose the first option on this page. CSN offers the following dual and concurrent enrollment programs for qualified high school students who want to get a head start on college courses:

Students in these programs can earn both high school and college credit at the same time. Please note that:

  • Current high school students taking college courses do not qualify for financial aid.
  • Eligible students can participate in more than one program.

I want to enroll as an international student.

U.S citizens, permanent residents or those with protected status should not use this application. Please select another application on this page. Payment of a $25 non-refundable fee is required at the time of application.

Read through this important information before starting the application.

  • Pay close attention to the application deadlines.
  • Have the following documents ready for reference and/or upload:
    • High school diploma (and its English translation if not in English)
    • Proof of English proficiency (View Complete list of accepted scores)
    • Passport ID page, and if applicable, visa page(s)
    • Bank or financial statement showing minimum of $27,600 USD;
    • I-20 certificate of eligibility (if already studying in the U.S.)
  • Transfer Credit - to transfer non-U.S. college credit to CSN, send official transcripts to an evaluating agency and request a course-by-course evaluation. Although we do not endorse any specific agency, here are a few suggestions:
    • American Education Research Corporation, Inc.
    • AACRAO's (American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers) International Education Services
    • Education Records Evaluation Service
    • World Education Services International Academic Credential Evaluation

I want to enroll in an apprenticeship program.

Read through this important information before starting the application.

  • New students wishing to enroll in a CSN apprenticeship course must first apply for admittance to the chosen Trade Apprenticeship Office with the local Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) Program. Apprenticeship program admission dates will vary.  Interested student should speak with the appropriate program office. 
  • Once admitted to their JATC program, the student should apply to CSN using the link below.
  • The Southern Nevada Union Apprenticeship Program (SNUAP) website provides information on apprenticeship opportunities, contact information and an overview of each program offered.

Before moving on to the CSN application, make note of the following items.

  • Submit official transcripts from any colleges attended (if applicable). Official transcripts should be mailed to:

I want to take non-credit classes for personal enrichment.

CSN’s Division of Workforce and Economic Development provides customized training and non-credit personal enrichment courses in a variety of subjects. Non-credit classes are not eligible for financial aid and require a separate registration process.
