Dr. Sonya PearsonAs Vice President and Provost, I would like to personally welcome you to the College of Southern Nevada Charleston Campus. Whether you are a first time, continuing or returning student, the College of Southern Nevada is dedicated to your success. As the largest and most ethnically diverse college in Nevada, we’ve made it a priority to provide an affordable, collaborative and welcoming environment that CSN puts students first.

CSN is a fully accredited institution offering hundreds of degrees and certificates in 70 academic programs—with 26 degrees and certificates available entirely online. Having recently, moved to the multi-campus model, our Charleston location is the largest and serves a myriad of traditional and non-traditional students.

Like pioneers and innovators before us, we will have challenges. We want you to know that we are more than prepared to face and overcome them, all while providing excellence in on our service to you. During the Vice President and Provost forums, I affirmed a commitment to building a stronger and healthier campus. We will be forward thinking servant leaders and remain steadfast in pursuing three foundational priorities to develop a seamless student experience, while increasing campus engagement:

  • Building a culture of engagement, organizational learning to Maintain Quality Services
  • Valuing People and scaling just in time professional development and training
  • Building Strong community partnerships and collaboration between departments

With a continued focus on enhancing the student and employee experience and delivering innovative programs and services, CSN Charleston Campus leadership is committed to being visionaries in forging new partnerships across the college and with business and industry. Currently, the Charleston campus houses many academic programs and services that are exemplary models of service excellence and quality (i.e., Health Sciences, Teacher Education, Behavioral Sciences and more). The Charleston Campus provides one of three, one-stop student and family resource centers in our new Student Unions. This Center offers community services that assists student with their personal and professional needs. Whether your goal is to enhance your job skills, earn a 2-year degree, or complete courses to transfer to a 4-year university, our flexible scheduling (including day, night, and online classes) makes achieving your college goals attainable.
