What is CoyoteFlex?
CoyoteFlex is a course format that requires enrolled students to meet with the instructor at pre-defined days and times (or what is called "synchronously"). These meetings are conducted where some students attend the class in-person/on-campus while other students attend virtually.
Why should I take a CoyoteFlex course?
CoyoteFlex courses allow you to choose a section that best suites your learning style and needs. Courses are synchronous, so you will be able to interact with your instructor and classmates in real time, even if you’re attending online.
How do I enroll?
You enroll in a CoyoteFlex course the same way you would any other course in MyCSN.

Q: In what modalities CoyoteFlex be offered at CSN?
A: For fall 2023, CoyoteFlex courses will be available in one format - synchronous in-person/online.
Q: Can students attend the CoyoteFlex course in multiple modalities?
A: Students will have to choose an assigned modality/location by default for registration in MyCSN. Any changes in attendance modality will be up to the individual instructor.
Q: What technologies do students need for a CoyoteFlex course?
A: Students in the classroom don’t need any special technology. Online students need a device with a camera to participate in the course online and will use Microsoft Teams.
Q: If I enroll in the online section, do I have to attend the course virtually at the scheduled class times?
Yes, all CoyoteFlex courses are synchronous. Online students are expected to attend virtually at the scheduled class time, via Microsoft Teams.
